Glen Murphy

Co - Owner / Certified EAL Facilitator

Hello and welcome. I'm very excited and pleased to introduce myself and our business. Currently, I'm a retired police officer having completed 28 years of service with the RCMP in November 2018.  I continue working as a Reservist with the RCMP though - what can I say, I love policing.

I was certified as an EAL facilitator in July 2016 by the good folks at the Academy of Equine Assisted Learning

Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) gives me the opportunity to combine two of my passions:

First is horses; these magnificent creatures are incredible examples of how we all should lead our lives. They are natural healers and expert communicators. While I have been riding for about 14 years, I began studying natural horsemanship in 2015; it taught me great patience and how to communicate more effectively with my horse, essentially bringing our partnership to another level.  Unbeknownst to me at the time, this was to turn into a journey of immense personal growth.

Then, in 2016 I came across a website offering a course to become an EAL facilitator.  After a ton of research on EAL and this company, I knew right then that it was part of my journey.

That leads to my second passion...helping people. I love to see people succeed.
Success takes commitment, sacrifice and the ability to look forward among other things. In the end, for me, it's all about helping people make a positive difference in their lives. In effect, helping people is a large reason I chose law enforcement as a career path. Now, as I transition to the next phase of my life after a very successful and rewarding career, I have the opportunity to continue to help people learn and grow.

I am really looking forward to meeting you.

Hi. I'm Ali.  I'm a Tennessee Walking Horse and have been with my human, Glen, since 2015.  I turned 15 in 2024 but age doesn't matter. Glen and June are doing a great job of looking after me so I am happy and healthy.  I'll warn you though, I do tend to be a little bit of a goof but that's what makes me, well ..... ME !  Heck, just have a gander at these pictures!

I am really looking forward to meeting you and having some laughs :)

June Murphy

Co - Owner / Certified EAL Facilitator

HI!  My name is June.

I also certified as a Equine Assisted Learning facilitator a year after Glen.

Becoming a certified facilitator really helped me move forward as I was kind of "stuck" at the time.  I had a lot on my mind, including the recent passing of my father, with whom I was very close. I discovered the power of the horse to help me look forward.  With this insight, and my background working with special needs children as an Educational Assistant, I am particularly positioned to help you move forward in your journey.

Barn Name: Tutshi (pronounced 'too-shy')

Hi, I'm Tutshi.  I came to Inner Balance Leadership Development in June of 2018.  I can be a bit of a goof too. I love to check out humans and what they are doing and I'm a bit mischievous.

I am what is known as a cross breed.  My dad was a Friesian and my mom an Arabian horse.  So, I am not registered with any particular horse breed association - but I am every bit as gallant and important as the other members of my herd :)

I'm 16.0 hands tall and have a magnificent looking trot (thanks to my dad).

I speak loud and clear and that will help you learn to be a leader and be a better you.

Hello, I'm Bella!  I'm a Quarter Horse.  Did you know that I am the most popular horse in North America?  Well....not me exactly, but my breed is.  Makes me feel pretty special just the same.  Quarter horses are used in competitions including cutting, reining and showmanship to name a few.

I love to teach though.  Glen and June's EAL program allows me to meet lots of people and people seem to love me. Must be my sweet personality I guess ;)

And hey!!  Who doesn't love a Palomino!

I am Nibbs.  I just arrived in January 2020.  I'm a Standardbred.  We are used in harness racing.  That's what I used to do.

I enjoyed my time on the track, but life is a little more laid back here with June and Glen.

I'm really looking forward to meeting you.
